Don't assume that it is enough to confess only about flat-out-lies and the intentional deceptions. What about when you say you'll show up and then you don't? Or you promise to be on time and then you arrive late? Or you agree to call someone and then you never get around to it? Is that an honest way to live? Does it allow people to build confidence in what you say?
Imagine how our families, schools, neighborhood, work sites, communities, and churches would would change if everyone were commited to speaking only the truth in love. It can happen, but it has to start with you and me. We can't control anyone else's choice to speak truth or to tell lies. But we can make that choice for ourselves.
