It takes tremendous effort to pursue dreams and reach goals. But what a pay-off when we begin to see the fruits of our effort. A strong desire to grow comes from God. When we work hard and eventually fulfill that desire, we receive a reward that is energizing and beautiful, like tree of life.
Throughout human history, popular thought has vacillated between the value of leisure versus labor. Current thought swings between the opposing views of those who exalt the work ethic that they sacrifice nearly everything else to achieve their vocational goals and those who apologetically flaunt their disdain of hard work and accomplishment. Can we avoid those two extremes and wholeheartedly agree that setting a broad range of high goals under the umbrella of God's guidance is a necessary step on the path toward a meaningful life?
