Weekend snapshot 23: driving through a snowy Sta Fe Highway

As what the author says, ....Everybody loves weekend, it is the time for leisure, recreation and other religious activities. And when everyone is having a grand time, you want to capture it and share it with others.That’s why Weekend Snapshot is here for you.

I've always been fascinated at how drivers would ease their way to a snowy road as snowy as Sta Fe's. On that week when I went downtown Sta Fe with another Filipino monk - Dom Marcus, to do errands and maintenance shopping, I just could not help but to marvel at the snow-filled mountainuous higways of Sta Fe. My shutter then kept me real busy taking snapshots of any random spot at the highway that struck my fancy.

walking on the river

Today, I was in town for my doctor's appointment at El Rito....
I left the monastery at 7:50Am and arrived 5:45PM.....

It is good to see someone who can give some answers to my unending questions and my doctor was just very supportive of me and what I was going through... Nothing serious. Nothing psychiatric in nature, just a simple counselling!...

On my wayback to the monastery, I pulled over the chama riverbank and took a little walk on the river! It was good the water was frozen and the 12-foot river did not give me a problem in my solitary walk as its water is totally frozen.

once  a  muddy road out to highway 151 is now  a dry one...





13 and a half miles away from the highway to Abiquiu downtown--that's why our physcial address starts with 1305 etc etc etc...



this is Bode's general store-the first stopover and the last one whenever monks go to  downtown...



... to filll our tanks with gas before going back- in courtesy to the next monk who's gonna use the car the next day...

ala lang- napag tipan ko lang talagang magkukukuha ng mga ito while roger and gerard, who were with me, were doing shopping at Sta Fe downtown malls...mga malls dito ay kalat kalat eh---di tulad diyan sa atin sa Manila- sa iisang mall lang ay andoon na halos lahat pati chapel...there's no place like manila pa rin talaga....
