God shows Himself to us in our darkest moments

Hope is faith holding out its hand in the dark.

Who is more foolish, the child afraid of the dark or the man afraid of the light?

You must be strong now. You must never give up. And when people make you cry and you are afraid of the dark, don't forget the light is always there.

Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don't give up.

All of us are born with a set of instinctive fears - of falling, of the dark, of lobsters, of falling on lobsters in the dark, or speaking before a Rotary Club, and of the words "Some Assembly Required."

Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light. We all walk in the dark and each of us must learn to turn on his or her own light.

We all need to look into the dark side of our nature - that's where the energy is, the passion. People are afraid of that because it holds pieces of us we're busy denying.

A person will worship something, have no doubt about that. We may think our tribute is paid in secret in the dark recesses of our hearts, but it will out. That which dominates our imaginations and our thoughts will determine our lives, and our character. Therefore, it behooves us to be careful what we worship, for what we are worshipping we are becoming.

God is the One we need to give us light in the darkest moments of our lives.
