Need for perfect goodness

We can't have an honest conversation about suffering and tragedy without the acknowledgement of the role and the evil one. A lot of people disagree with my take on how the world works, and I've taken my share of ridicule for believing in the presence and the power of an evil being. but the Bible teaches unequivocally that the evil one carefully devises a variety of sinister plans for the express purpose of destroying people's bodies, minds and souls.

If the mission of Jesus is to forgive the sins of wayward people, the mission of the evil one is this: he's seeking someone to mess with. Jesus talked about this: The evil one comes to kill, steal and destroy. I have come to give life in all its fullness. When we acknowledge the existence of evil, we see more clearly our need for the perfect goodness and life that only Jesus offers.
