well, there were so many many things said about this Bible, and one of these came from Rebecca herself who said, "I did some research and it is supposed to be the most faithful translation into English of the Latin Vulgate Bible. I also learned that the Latin Vulgate Bible was declared by the Council of Trent to be the official Latin version and is in use by the Catholic Church for the last 1500 years..."
well, i emailed her, and i hope she gets it right in her inbox, some info about the Bible. But in case it does not reach her inbox for some reasons or the other, she can always refer from the following links.

Di ko alam na may ganitong Bible pala. Alam mo ba, yung friend kong nasa New York na sobrang close ko converted into born again Christian. Tapos kino-convince nya na mag-convert ako kaya pinadalan nya ako ng Bible hehe... Buti na lang kasi wala akong Bible na sarili. Nakikigamit lang sa old Bible ng mommy ko dati.

jerusalem bible is also good...as a matter a fact mga bibles namin sa loob ng mga rooms ng aming guesthouse ay puro jerusalem..ayy, kung ilang libung kopya na ang nailalagay sa mga rooms na yan ng guesthouse====laging nagkakawalaan..hehehehehe. maybe the guests take them by mistake when they check out.

ngeeeeeeeeks, sis may kasalanan ako sau---huhuhuhuhu,, hindi ko pala naisama yung dalwang reflections ng winter chants and autumn chants ng DVDs.... sorri , nahilo kasi ako sa pag impake ng para sayo at para kay becca at vera, kaya hayun tuloy, nalito na ako hahahaha-madali akong malito sa numbers eh hahahaha..anyways, the package for the two dvd of reflections will follow shortly, actually i already packed them and the package is ready for mailing...

My main problem and objection in the new translations of the Bible other than the Douay-Rheims is the omissions of Sirach 24:24-31. The omitted parts are found in the Latin Vulgate. Where in the new translations can be found the passages which refers to the Blessed Virgin during the centuries that the Latin Vulgate was used in liturgy:
"I am the mother of fair love, and of fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope. In me is all grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue... They that explain me shall have life everlasting."
The Solemn Decree of the Council of Trent issued in 1546 says:
"If anyone does not accept as sacred and canonical the aforesaid [72] books in their entirety[emphasis] and with all their parts[emphasis], as they have been accustomed to be read in the Catholic Church and as they are contained in the old Latin Vulgate Edition, and knowingly and deliberately rejects the aforesaid traditions, let him be anathema." (Canons and Decrees of the Council of Trent, Sess. IV, "Decree concerning the Canonical Scriptures," April 8, 1546)
