when i started living my monastic life

it was in year 2002 of February 14th when i came over the monastery...it seems just like yesterday.
during that time, the customary of the house is that: a postulant shall wear a blue short work habit (which was changed now to gray short work habit) as his getup whenever he attends the prayers of the day, wherever he goes in all areas of the monastery and whenever he attends any siginificant occasion and gathering in the community. those were the days that seemed to be the longest for me as far as hoping to wear a long black habit was concerned...it took me six months to get to wear the black habit i've been dreaming to wear in my lifetime...

@ronnie,

ah yeah,merong kasamang belt--chastity belt daw yun ei, hahahahaha-
ah yung blue ay pinalitan na --ginawang gray--kaya yung mga binigay sa mga movie participants ay gray na lahat--- hindi ko na nga alam kung saan napunta yung blue na short habit ko... gud day to you my frend--musta ang pista ng san juan? nakipagbasaan ka ba?....

dom lawrence - this is a nice blog! I hope that this will become a tool for the 'vocation seekers' to assist them (or be a catalyst for that matter) in considering the religious life.

I am getting a bit 'vaklempt' from looking at your pics. It is so touching.. reminding me of the days with the TOR.

God Speed Dom Lawrence. Pax et bonum!

hey my frend, first of all, i wanna really thank you for dropping by and for droppin a note for me as well, then on the one hand, i wanna thank you for your complements about my blog...( i hope really, that thru this blog, it may attract and sustain interest to the aspiring "monks" who are still out there, roaming around, lurking and looking for their sanctuary that would really fit them)... and lastly, i am pleased to have met another friend in you thru the blogworld...and hope to see you in person someday....
