Trusting God

There are many things in our lives that can challenge our faith in God. Sometimes we face such dilemmas that it can cause our faith to weaken or even fail. This can happen especially during times of sadness, loneliness, sickness, pain, depression or fear.

God does not cause us to suffer, but as ironic as it may seem, in many cases He does allow us to go through these valleys in life because He knows that without these struggles our faith would never increase. Here are some suggestions that may help you when your faith in God seems to be failing.

Trust God to work out your problems. Sometimes you just have to pray and say, "Lord, this trial is too big for me. Please help me to surrender it to You and allow You to work it out according to Your will. Please manifest Your peace in me." Yes, that prayer might be simple, but it is powerful. You have to believe that He will do what you have asked. That is what faith is about. God has promised to never leave or forsake you (Heb. 13:5). Trusting Him will help you know that He will not abandon you in the midst of your struggle
