Myself, myself, and myself....All I am thinking is all about myself. Aren't we tired of thinking all about ourselves?
Can't we not do something for others? We always look towards aiming to get either for our self or with our self or to our self.
How very different from Jesus' model and message!
No "philosophy" to turn our eyes inward, He offers rather a fresh and much-needed invitation to our "me first" generation.
There is a better way. Jesus says, "be a servant, give to others!" Now that's a philosophy that anybody can understand.
It is high time to stop pampering ourselves of these two wrong tendencies, SELFISHNESS and CONCEIT, to control us!!!!
Let nothing either of them suggests win a hearing. Replace them with "humility in mind".
How?
By regarding others as more important than ourself, and by looking for ways to support, encourage, build up, and stimulate with others.
Such predicament requires an attitude that would rather require us to focus on the famous short line: give than receive.
It is time to give --for others.. This Christmas, try to reflect on this and while doing it, try to think of our loved ones, our friends, our neighbors... Try to give them your love this Christmas!
