tomorrow is the Ordination to the Priesthood of one of our vietnamese monks, Dom Andrew Nguyen.
In preparation for the event, the assigned cook for tomorrow's big buffet banquet, Rev Fr. Dom Dominic Nguyen (not blood related,; vietnamese have same surnames though not related by blood or whatnot), has already gotten my permission as the kitchen manager to allow him and his vietnamese group composed of our neighboring vietnamese nuns, and some vietnamese folks from Albuquerque vietnamese community, to start the preparation of the food to be served for tomorrow's banquet as early as this afternoon...

Pareng Dom, are the nuns Pinays? What order do they belong, Franciscan Contemplatives of the Dead Nails of St. Clare? Or Oblates of Blonde Hair of St. Catherine? LOL LOL LOL
just messing up with you.. seriously what's their order?
is dom dom a junior monk, monk aspirant or monkian?
bakit ba palagi napakadami ko tanong? hahaha
Good Luck tomorrow and happy weekend.
Behave ka bukas at haharap sa madlang people. this will be your time to shine and magpacute uli hahaha. post mo pictures ha....
musta naman ang selebrasyon? just got back from an internet deprived place e. bwahaha!
just dropping by dom lawrence, natanggap mo na ba package? viet cuisine ba luto nila? Love vietnamese food... may pho bac ba? hehe
b@bluepanjeet
hey, the nuns are vietnamese and they belong to the monastery of Our lady of the Desert- another benedictine monastery for women under our own Subiaco Congregation.
hahahahah- nope, dom dominic is a priest and a Canon Lawyer- he studied Canon Law in Rome-. dito naman sa amin kahit nakatapos ka na ng kahit anong MA or Doctoral degree- pag kinailangan kang magluto- hindi pa pwedeng mag reklamo- Vow of Obedience remember? that is community life hahahah-
i can only take pics of the banquest and the evening party but not the eucharistic celebration of the Ordination, unless there is someone from the audience who can lend me the memory card of the images taken during the whole celebration, which i think, mahirap dahil lahat ay ngarag at high sa energy of the whole celberation and merry making...bahala na lang-
@bluepanjeet
@jeprocks,
salamt jeff- sa ngayun ay wala pa ang package- baka by next week dumating na yun-- i will surely notify you once it arrives and will post it on my blog..salamt kapati ha....
@ironnie,
@ironnie
eh ronnie, i am so touched by what you said---it's encouraged me so much and thought that you were right- it's in the pain (lots and lots of them) that we find the true authentic joys in our lives...
