a day of tour, visit and chants...

sunday nov 20 was a fun- filled day for me. i went on town trips with prior Christian, oblate carlo and another junior monk josemaria to attend to lots of appointments that day.

first= we went to visit the ruins of the centuries-old franciscan missionary house in Glorieta Pecos,
second= we were invited to attend the profession of simple vows of one novice monk in the Abbey monastery of our Lady of Guadalupe in Pecos, NM.-this is another Benedictine monastery under the Benedictine congregation of our lady of Monte Oliveto- hence, their monks wear white as what the Virgin Mother wears and hence they are called the Olivetan monks.
third= we were not only invited as guests and expectators and witnesses to the Profession ceremony but we were requested to chant in the Holy sacrifice of the Eucharist in the entire celebration of the Profession.
the following pics will show you our tour, the day we arrived at the monastery, the day of the celebration and the drop-by at our monks corner store in Sta Fe.
