When a given situation demands that a word of truth be spoken, we are commanded to speak it without hesitating, without holding back and without considering the cost to ourselves, even if it costs us dearly.
For me, this is growing edge of my abilities in truth telling. By God's grace, at this point in my life, I have a little temptation to fabricate wild webs of deception or to create sinister shadings of truth; as I consciously monitor my words for honesty.
I sense God's affirmation of my growth in this area. But when it comes to saying the hard truths that certain people desperately needs to hear, I too, often find myself hesitating. By speaking up, I give God an opportunity to build my faith and strengthen my character.
