Sacred is in the heart

The sacred is not in the stone, the sacred is not in the pieces of land , the sacred is not even in the book, the sacred is not even in the altar, the sacred is in the heart of every person.

That is why when we allow the sacred to shine forth in us , everything we touch, everything we do, everything we can plan becomes sacred because of us.

The story of King Midas relates that everything he touches turn into gold. Our vocation as Christians is similar to what the Lord said. " You must touch everything and everything must become holy. For a Christian there is no such as thing as a worldly place, a worldly person, worldly events. For the Christians everything is completely dedicated to God.

Let us be aware of the sacredness in our hearts and let us ask the Lord for the grace to allow the sacred to shine forth in us, so that whatever we touch, whatever we say, whatever we think will become holy because we have touched it. God has touched it through us.
