Graces

There are two graces that I want to propose to you to meditate on. The first one is grace that we may all be blessed with a pure heart. Let us not deceive into thinking that people are better because of what they wear. People who wear the habit of the religious are not exactly better than lay people. Clothes are merely external elements. What the Lords count on is the purity of the heart.

The other grace is the purity of sight. When our hearts are pure, we will be able to see the the pure hearts of other people. When our hearts are pure, we will be able to see beyond the color of the skin, beyond the color of the uniform, beyond the colors of titles or position. Then we will be able to see and realize that what is essential is invisible to the eye.

We will ask the Lord for these two graces- purity of the heart and purity of the sight to be able to see the purity in each other.
